Organic Coupons DO Exist!

When my husband, Mike, and I first visited the church that would eventually become his employer I was greeted by two very enthusiastic women, Kasey and Kelly, at the first event we attended there.

It didn’t take two minutes of conversation to realize they were passionate women with a mission. And that mission is to teach people how to cut their grocery bill at least in half through the use of coupons. Then, once they start saving in this area they have more discretionary income to use for other, “more meaningful things,” like giving to churches, charities, those in need. I loved the premise! And their excitement was contagious.

They had already heard of my experience on The Biggest Loser and were particularly interested in my perspective on shopping having come from that protected, organic environment. I was quite honest with them that I love to eat organically. But it is so expensive, I couldn’t shop for organic foods nearly as much as I would like.

Something about that brief conversation ignited a spark in these two ladies who founded and run Time 2 $ave, an organization dedicated to educating others about skillful coupon-based shopping. (Visit their website at time2saveworkshops.com for some awesome tips!) And through their diligent research they found that there are some wonderful organic coupon options out there, you just have to be prudent in watching for them.

In fact, just recently on their site, they posted an “Organic Deals Roundup” and have provided a world of wonderful options to cut cost while indulging in organic grocery items.

I am so grateful to have met these industrious ladies who are busier now than ever giving workshops and sharing this great wealth of knowledge they’ve accumulated. Ironically, just last weekend they appeared in Chattanooga, TN at She: An Expo for Women, with of all people, my beloved trainer and friend Jillian Michaels!

The organic craze is growing because it’s so good for you. And in this economy we can all use a little cost savings help while taking care of ourselves and our families. Check out some of Kasey and Kelly’s tips to make an organic contribution to your family’s menu possible.
